The Glasgow Canal Festival is a brilliant annual event which takes place on and along the banks of the Forth & Clyde Canal between Speirs Wharf and Firhill Basin. It represents an exciting point in Glasgow’s annual cultural calendar for local audiences and people from across the city.
The event offers a whole range of experiences including live music and artistic performances, boat trips, storytelling corners, arts workshop, canoeing and kayaking sessions. There’s really something for everyone and audiences always discover and enjoy something they hadn’t tried before.
The Glasgow Canal Co-op organise the event and work hard to try and make activities either free or low cost to ensure they are as accessible as possible.
